New gifts for four-year scholarships will attract top students and allow them to reach their full potential as future leaders, physicians, educators, entrepreneurs and researchers. 

  • Make a gift to create and sustain 100 four-year merit- and need-based scholarships to attract students  

Create opportunities for collaboration and grow faculty diversity

New gifts for programs to expand cross-sector collaborations and increase faculty diversity will provide graduate students with unique opportunities to gain industry experience and offer a new pathway to faculty positions for postdoctoral associates from underrepresented groups.Your gift will help make it possible to:

  • Make a gift to help the College launch cross-sector collaborations that provide graduate student with opportunities to gain industry experience  
  • Make a gift to support an initiative to boost faculty diversity by providing a path to a tenure-track position for promising Ph.D.s

Drive discovery of better ways to teach biology

New gifts in support of biology education innovation will translate into more opportunities for students to ask and answer their own research questions and raise the profile of a one-of-a-kind department dedicated to studying the best ways to teach biology. Your gift will help make it possible to:

  • Make a gift to support renovation of existing spaces into active-learning labs where students can have authentic research experiences  
  • Make a gift to create an endowed chair to attract a prominent scholar in the field to the department  

Make insights into the living world available to all

New gifts for the CBS Conservatory and the Minnesota Ecology Walk at Cedar Creek will create many more opportunities for the public to experience plant collections and the ecosystems that make up Minnesota. Your gift will help make it possible to:

  • Make a gift to build a new facility to house the region's most diverse plant collection and expand opportunities for the public to engage with this unique "living library" 
  • Make a gift to create the Minnesota Ecology Walk, an accessible walking tour of the state's major ecosystems
